Boundary Renaissance, 10

Day 10

Boundaries are allowed to evolve. They are allowed to adjust when you find that they are not working for you. And, it’s imperative that you have an internally stated line.

You need a working theory of what and where your limits are.

You cannot run trials on an ambiguous, constantly-moving goalpost of your capabilities. Before you can adjust a boundary, you need to know where it currently stands.

Identify a starting point.

These can be about time, emotional energy, social capacity, work demands, family expectations, physical touch, whatever feels relevant to your life right now. Be specific. Your limits don’t need to be extreme to be real and valid.

Journal Prompts:
Write out five starting places to trial in each column.

I can handle…
I cannot handle…

These ten items become your baseline. You’ll learn which ones hold, which ones need adjusting, and which ones you’ve been quietly violating.
