Simplify: Journal Prompt 14

Forgive.

Shed emotional weight through forgiveness.

Forgive what you can.

Set boundaries where you cannot yet forgive.

If you are in a place to forgive. Prioritize a practice of forgiveness. Sometimes even a daily practice to ward off emotional weight.

I am also aware that forgiveness needs time, and it might not be the right time for you. If you are not in a place to forgive, set boundaries so you are not regularly triggered. You have choices, you can decrease the emotional weight through boundaries.

Journal Prompts:

  • I want to forgive…
  • I need to set boundaries…

A note on journaling: The goal of journaling is to process, organize, and self-reflect. There are no right ways to journal. There are no wrong ways to journal. Journaling can be done with words, bullet points, pictures, lyrics, drawings, and more. What comes natural to you, is the right way to journal.
