Communicate Expectations.
Simplify in relationships by communicating your expectations.
Expectations are the things you hope for like:
- How you spend your time.
- Where you do something.
- What you do.
- What you need.
While you cannot ensure your expectations are met, you can do 100% of your part. You can assert yourself and communicate—clearly and specifically—your expectations.
It is not reasonable to assume people know what you want and hope for, even if they are your partner. Leaving people you love in the dark where they have to mind-read is unfair. Do your part and communicate your expectations.
