“Simplify” has the tone that sounds like easy. Like, quick hit the light on your way out the door. I’m not sure this is always true. Simplify can indeed be easy but more often it includes difficult, confrontational, and overwhelming, all in efforts to arrive at simple.
Simplify can mean, having difficult conversations to release expectations or set boundaries.
Simplify can mean, being alone rather than being in a harmful relationship.
Simplify can mean, getting rid of that sentimental heirloom in your closet that has served no purpose, but carries the emotional guilt of a teenager.
No, not easy. But does the difficult get you to simple, to a place where you are emotionally free? Clear?
