Thinking Patterns: Journal Prompt 1

In this new series we will explore the impact of thinking patterns.

Fused thinking believes that you are what you think.

I think that I don’t belong, then I must not belong.

There is no separation between your thoughts and who you are. As you might imagine, becoming hooked by this way of thinking can be incredibly distracting.

Through this series, I hope for you to instead arrive at a place where you can observe and consider your thoughts.

I am having the thought that I do not belong.

Less fused, more observational. Exercising observation of your thoughts can help you become less paralyzed and overwhelmed. Ultimately, more engaged in your life.

Journal Prompt: How would you describe your thinking patterns?

A note on journaling: The goal of journaling is to process, organize, and self-reflect. There are no right ways to journal. There are no wrong ways to journal. Journaling can be done with words, bullet points, pictures, lyrics, drawings, and more. What comes natural to you, is the right way to journal.
