Re-Engage the Body to Heal

For healing, the body leads; the conduit of output as input.

Felt in the far back molars of the jaw, stress saran wrap clings to the body.

While the body takes on the occupation as a stress manager, it is unlikely to be a good “secret keeper”.

.

Instead of forever absorbing stress as requested, the body regularly expresses and reminds us of its’ finite threshold.

If relief is denied, stress is re-absorbed and tension continues to swell.

It seems the threat of potential pain trains us to subdue nagging requests for release.

.

Much like the relationship we have with holding a plank.

The body screams for relief when met at our growth edge.

.

Our stressors and emotions are no different.

.

Without intentional movement toward, there’s a tendency to shy away from pain at the very brink of the growth edge.

.

For good reason though, avoidance serves as protection. It serves as protection from pain…but also from growth.

.

Lean in.

.

As engaging in a plank supports a stronger physical body so does engaging with the emotional self.

Slow down long enough to hear the requests from your body.

.

Lean in.

.

The mind then follows after the body, it releases and brings feelings of respect. We’ve been honest with ourselves. There’s no need to request a secret keeper, we’ve responded to the needs.
